E vs. E

There seems to be a difference of opinion on how to write E on wiki pages. In some of the original documentatin on, I've seen it shown as in an italic and green font. We don't have easy wiki markup for colors, so I've always been just using the bold and italic markup together for the letter 'E' when it refers to the programming language. However, this is not the only view, and Kevin seems to prefer just a plain 'E'. Can we create a consensus on how to display 'E'? --Ansible 05:50, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

I'd suggest creating a template page, Template:E. Put in that page the wikitext for how we want the name of this language to be rendered. Then in other pages, simply transclude the template, i.e. write {{E}} for the language name. This would ensure consistency and be at least as simple as '''''E'''''. --Toby.murray 07:57, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

I've just created a demo templte, using my user talk page. Use it by writing {{:User_talk:Toby.murray}} somewhere, like here: E, or E there. --Toby.murray 08:05, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

  • Nice, I like it. --Ansible 15:12, 7 July 2008 (CDT)
