Isnt that what password capabilities do? --User:Zarutian

Sort of. A Swiss number (or, completely, a SturdyRef, which consists essentially of a VatID and a Swiss number) is the E version of a password capability. Whether a Swiss base is a password capability — I think so, but I don't know what we're calling password capabilities these days. Ask cap-talk if you want a thorough answer. --Kevin Reid 07:09, 4 February 2008 (CST)

Password capabilities in the sense of "knowledge is power". That is knowing an certain long bitstring and passing that to somesort of password-cap real-cap mapper. (An global namespace for refering capabilities by name so to speak) --Zarutian 21:17, 5 February 2008 (CST)
